The short version

We collect only what we need to make your book and deliver it. Your child's photo is used solely to create your book and is permanently deleted after your order is fulfilled. We never sell your data, and we never use children's photos for marketing, AI training, or anything other than your book.

1. What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, and shipping address (collected at checkout)
  • Personalisation details: your child's first name, age, character style, chosen language, optional dedication message, and the photo you upload
  • Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Technical basics: standard website logs needed to keep the service running securely

2. Your child's photo — our strictest policy

  • Uploaded photos are stored in private, encrypted storage
  • Photos are accessed only by the team members creating your book
  • Photos are permanently deleted after your order is fulfilled
  • Photos are never shared with third parties, used in marketing, or used to train AI models
  • By uploading a photo, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have the guardian's explicit permission

3. Who we share data with

Only the service providers needed to run the store: Stripe (payments), our printing and shipping partners (name and delivery address only — never photos), and our infrastructure providers (Vercel and Supabase, who host the website and database under strict security). We never sell personal data to anyone.

4. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You can request a copy of your data, correction of your data, or complete deletion of your data at any time by replying to any of our emails or contacting us. We respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR; California residents have rights under CCPA — including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we don't sell data in the first place).

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed for the cart and checkout to work. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

6. Children's privacy

ForLittleOne is a service for parents and adult gift-buyers. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. All personalisation information is provided by the purchasing adult.
